- Add the raw honey to a mug.
- Squeeze the fresh lemon juice into the mug with the honey.
- Add the finely grated ginger and ground turmeric. Add a pinch of cinnamon if desired.
- Heat the water until comfortably warm but not boiling, then pour 1 cup (240 ml) into the mug.
- Stir thoroughly until the honey dissolves and the spices are evenly distributed throughout the drink.
- Serve immediately while warm. Sip slowly as part of your morning routine or enjoy whenever you want a simple honey, lemon, and ginger drink.
Notes
Use warm rather than boiling water for a more pleasant drinking temperature and to preserve the fresh flavor of the honey and lemon.
If fresh ginger is unavailable, substitute about 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger. Cinnamon is optional and can be adjusted to taste.
